Line of Business Integration (LBI) Framework

One of OV2Word's technology strengths is its ability to seamlessly integrate into existing lines of business (LOB). By offering flexible command APIs and configuration GUIs, OV2Word's text processing technology is transparent to your user community. Application developers need only to know how to pass parameters to the fully-documented AS/400 command and the MakeDoc API.

With this ability, selected LOBs can be converted and integrated one at a time. No need to re-write the entire system to achieve a full migration. Convert and integrate in phases. One can even run OV-OV2Word hybrid systems while legacy LOBs are converted and others remain unchanged.

LBI exploits the original OfficeVision documents through our OV2Word's conversion process. 

By converting to Microsoft Word documents and then to ITP models, this solution integrates into an existing AS400 application. Integration tasks focus on replacing the OfficeVision CL commands (MRGDOC, PRTDOC, EDTDOC, and so on) with a fully documented AS400 command. Also eliminated are OfficeVision's QTEMP processing requirements. Now instead of offering a single record in the QTEMP processing area--the LBI framework accesses the DB2 data source directly, thus reducing overhead processing requirements (Click on figure).
